Nanette Fetter is a native of Colorado and she earned her education degree at the University of Colorado. She taught English for 4 years in rural Colorado where she met her husband, Bob. Nan and Bob and their daughter, Sarah, and son, Aaron, moved to Toledo where Nan earned her MA at the University of Toledo and taught English for 26 years at Southview High School.

Rhea received her BS in Education from Ohio State University and her Masters from the University of Toledo. She taught three years at Coy School in Oregon, Ohio, two years in Lakewood Schools in Lake Odessaa, Michigan and twenty-six years at Anthony Wayne Schools at Whitehouse Elementary retiring in 1995.

Marion is from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School, met her husband, an exchange student at Dalhousie University, from which she graduated and started her teaching career in Zanesville, Ohio and ended her career at Northwood Middle School as a certified librarian. She has been the editor of “The Slate” for the past eight years.

Dick received his BS in Biology and Physical Science from Michigan State University, his Masters in biology and chemistry from The College of William and Mary in Virginia and his Education Specialist in Educational Administration from The University of Toledo. He taught various science classes at Rogers High School and retired from Toledo Public Schools as Executive Director of Instructional Technology.

Kathleen graduated from Michigan State University and taught three years at Hillview School in the Sylvania City Schools and 32 years at Douglas and Jackman Road Schools in the Bedford Public School system.

Betty taught at Longfellow School B.C.(before children) fifty years ago. She later taught at Waterville Elementary School and moved to Fallen Timbers Middle School where she taught fifth grade. She retired in 1990 and soon became active in LCRTA. After chairing a couple of committees, she served as Recording Secretary for a number of years.

Dr. John “Jack” Ahern left New England to join the faculty of the University of Toledo in 1969. In the field of elementary education his work focused on children’s literature, values and local history. He led nine study tours to Ireland and was active in the Birmingham community. He was President of the Rossford Board of Education, The Ohio Council for Social Studies and LCRTA and served on a number of other boards. He is married to Anne Ahern, formerly of the Lake Local School District and is a grandfather of three. In retirement, he leaves his garden to accompany his wife on her travels and serves on the boards of Historic Perrysburg, Landmakrs Commission of Northwestern Ohio, University of Toledo Retirees and Way Library Foundation.
